First place in NL WEST!
The Giants have tied the Padres for first place in the nl west, hopefully another win today will place them one game ahead of San Diego. They had a rough month of August and so far have \had a great month of September going 7-2 so far. Tim Lincecum has greatly improved in his last two games, the pitching staff right now is pretty tough except Barry Zito has been struggling for a while even having a great start in the spring. The bullpen, especially Brian Wilson have has been the all star he’s meant to be. I think his new beard gives him good luck, though most of us women don’t think its a good look on him. The Giants offense is also a big key, though they only scored one run last night, they could have had more but some of the calls were wrong. Madison Bumgarner goes out today for SF, the last time he faced them he had a ND & the Giants won in 11 innings. It will be interesting to see how the Giants play for the next three weeks, hopefully the Padres continue to struggle the Giants will have a much higher chance in making the playoffs by winning the NL west. Im gonna close now and hopefully remember to blog after the Padres series this weekend! GO GIANTS!!
I am very excited about going to Wednesday’s game against LA! Hope to see you there

Cant believe its mid-June!
I remember waiting for three long months for the season to start & now there’s 3 1/2 months left. ;O Time flies during baseball season. Good thing i like the NBA because they help me get through the MLB offseason lol.
Anyway enough of that, the Giants have been playing well this month so far, they’ve won all their series’ so far including sweeping the A’s at At&t Park, which was retaliation from being swept in Oakland a month ago. Lincecum seems to be slowly coming back into his old self, and Zito & Cain have been outstanding the last couple of starts. Today’s game was good, not what i would say Lincecum’s best with the 8 hits but he did get 10 k’s and managed to get out of a couple of jams. He has been pitching better than he has the preivious 5 or 6 starts. He had some really rough outings against AZ, Washington & Colorado. I think he’ll have his third all star selection this year, i am not sure about starter though because Jimenez is 11-1 and has 1.10 era (not exact but im too lazy to look it up) I am not sure if Zito will go, but he does deserve it, if not he’ll definitely be come back player of the year if he keeps his dominance up.
Anyhow Cain has had three CG’s this season & was dominate on Sunday against the A’s. He’s now 5-4, hopefully he could make the all star team, and Brian Wilson too. Wilson has also been closing out games & getting the job done. I also think Juan Uribe deserves to be in the ASG, he’s been one of our biggest power hitters, hopefully he’ll get enough write-ins.
I am glad SF finally brought up Buster Posey he has helped this team a lot, also acquiring Pat Burrell was another big addition. Their offense is improving over what i saw the last two months.
OK talking about the Angels a bit, i do think teams in general should celebrate their walkoffs differently. Its dumb to have someone injured over a freak accident, like what happened to Kendry Morales who might be out for the year. Their team looks okay enough to win the division, they do need some pitching help. I am excited the ASG is at Angel stadium this year, it would be awesome to go but its really expensive, i tried going to the one at At&t park a few years ago & it was just too much. ;/ It’ll be nice to see the old legends and HOF’ers that i followed over the years when i lived down in LA area.
Anyway im gonna close now, i know im not a great writer but i love to rant so don’t criticize my grammar. I’ve had plenty of that.

Perfect game in bay area
Hello i know i haven’t been writing a lot like i said i was but anyway i was happy for Oakland A’s pitcher Dallas Braden throwing the 19th perfect game in baseball history against Tampa Bay on Mom’s day. Honestly before the season started i never even heard of Braden. I am not a big A’s & prefer the Giants. He became noticeable for yelling at A-Rod a month ago for walking on his mound. Really it isn’t HIS mound but A-Rod was purposely being a jerk, i wish they showed him on the camera so i could see what he really did, but Braden sure was angry.
My dad, Grandpa & brother have been to a perfect game, it was at Dodger stadium on July 28, 1991, I didn’t go because I was 6 at the time and they thought i was too young and didnt realize i was gonna become a huge baseball fanatic. Anyway my dad still has the ticket stubs from that game. I know my brother & grandpa were bitter about the Dodgers losing like that. I grew up in southern California but i wasn’t that interested in the Dodgers, but i watched more of the Angels games. , my dad also went to Nolan Ryan’s 20 strikeout game sometime in the 1970′s.
I dont think i mentioned photo day at At&t Park! I got to the stadium at 9 am and the line was already ridiculously long. But i got a good spot on the field anyway, sadly Tim Lincecum didn’t come my way but i managed to shake his hand at the last minute. I did get photos with Torres, Affeldt, & Zito.
some of the photos weren’t very good cuz i had to hold the camera myself. I was so happy the Giants won that day, i’ve had bad luck lately where i’ve gone to the games & they lost. Matt Cain pitched a terrific game & allowed only 2 hits.
Speaking of Giants pitching Barry Zito and Tim Lincecum have had a great season so far, sadly Zito lost his first game last night but didn’t allow too many runs so his era is still under 2. As for Lincecum he should be 7-0 by now if it wasn’t for the failed bullpen outings. I was so upset at Brian Wilson on that day against Philly, or i should say Bochy. Timmy had 106 pitches & had 1 guy on & 1 out in the 9th, i am sure he would have gotten the next two batters out. Anyway the last two games were also good but again the bullpen keeps spoiling his win. But a ND is better than an L, so im happy about that part. He struck out 13 last tuesday and 7 last sunday. He’s had rough starts in the past two seasons, he’s been really solid, hopefully he’s gonna get a third Cy Young award, its honestly too hard to tell at this point & so many other pitchers are having a great year too.

Giants vs Dodgers weekend
This weekend was the classic rivalry match up between the Dodgers & Giants. It was a pretty good series, especially Saturday’s game.
Friday night, the Dodgers were all over Wellemeyer but the game started to get exciting at the end when the Giants started to rally and Velez hit a 3 run homerun in the 9th inning making it 10-8 L.A. I had thought Wellemeyer was going to be a little better than he has been, he had a good spring training except for that one game against the A’s. Hopefully he can turn it around for his next start in San Diego.
Saturday, Tim Lincecum was the star of the game with 3 hits and 3 rbi’s & allowed 4 hits, 7 K’s in 6 IP. The Giants mostly Lincecum hit the ball all over the place against Heager, its pretty sad thats LA’s number 2 starter. Since Timmy didn’t give up any runs, his era is below zero at 0.90 A much better start than he had at the beginning of last season. 9-0 Giants
Sunday was good up until the 8th inning, it was a great pitching match up between Kershaw vs ZIto., no runs were scored till the top of the 7th with Uribe’s homerun, Zito had a great outing , 7 1/3 IP and 3 K’s. In the bottom of the 8th the Dodgers have Rameriz pitch hit for the pitching spot, Zito walks Anderson then Bochy brings in Romo, who than gives up a two run hr to Manny. My heart just dropped! what the heck, the Giants scored all their runs yesterday so i guess they we’re out of gas. I was afraid 1-0 wasn’t going to be enough.
On Saturday Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez threw the first ever no hitter in Rockies history against the Braves. The only teams left are the Rays, Mets & Padres who haven’t thrown a no-hitter. Its hard to believe the Mets haven’t because they’ve been around forever! Anyhow in St Louis, the Mets VS Cardinals didn’t score any runs till the 19th inning which i think is insane, It wasn’t on tv here but i cant imagine sitting that long for a ball game, it was indeed frustrating for Cardinal fans, since they’re obviously better than the Mets. I was surprised they didn’t suspend the game because of the new rules a few years ago?? I think the longest game ever was the Brewers and the Chicago White Sox in 1984 they went 25 innings. Anyhow I am gonna watch the game on espn, hopefully it won’t be as long & the Cards actually win.
Til next time! Im gonna try and post after every Giants game like i said i was gonna do !

Happy Opening Week!
Hello everyone! Happy 2010 baseball season! I hope those of you that celebrate Easter had a happy Easter weekend! Mine was good except for the rain, we didn’t really need to go outside anyway because my parents hid most of the eggs in the house. My nephew loved the egg hunt, it was the funnest thing ever for him. After that i had brunch with my parents, sister, bro in law & their two kids. That night i watched the season opener of the Red Sox & Yankees.
On Monday i stayed home most of the day because it was opening day! I watched the Cardinals first, and Pujols hit two home runs in the game also Carpenter pitched well, he did give up a few runs though and still got the win.
After that i watched the Giants against the Astros, i did not realize the Giants would sweep but they did! The first night Lincecum was pitching and he had 7K’s and no earned runs, which was good compared to the rusty spring training outings. The Giants offense looks good so far, Aaron Rowand seemed to be cold the first two games but he went 4-6 on Wed. I thought Zito & Cain pitched surprisingly well, Cain did struggle a little at the end but they have a great pitching staff compared to the other teams. Brian Wilson closed two of the games in houston and he was pretty sharp too, I think they had Medders in for too long in that one game, but when he came in he got the job done. I was sad though about Buster Posey being sent back to AAA. I was hoping that they’d use him as a backup catcher but then he wouldn’t get to play everyday. I think he would be a good dh if the Giants were an AL team. I also watched some Angels games this week because of the free preview channels on comcast. They seem to struggle with the pitching this year since they no longer have Lackey. Their hitting is pretty decent after acquiring Matsui from the Yankees. The Twins seemed to be tougher against the halos, especially the two sluggers Mauer & Morneau. Hopefully tonight they can at least split the series.
Today i watched the Rangers & Blue Jays because CJ Wilson was making his first start ever, since being in the bullpen for most of his career on the Rangers. I am not sure if he started in the minors or college, but it was nice seeing him start & he did really well too, he had 7 k’s in 7 innings, sadly the bullpen blew the 1-0 lead so Wilson didn’t get the win.
This is really long so hopefully it made sense. I am not the greatest writer in the world and i sound like im 15 years old but i am more of ranter so a lot of things wont make sense coming from me. haha
Til next time! I am going to the Giants vs Braves game on the 10th! Its Timmy’s 2nd cy young award night & fireworks.

FanFest Story
Hey everyone! So today was the SF Giants Fanfest, i am dead tired
right now so a lot of this won’t make sense. Anyhow i left my house at
8:30 and got to the stadium 10 minutes before 10 and it took a 1/2 hour
just to get into the parking lot, we tried getting there at 9:30 but
with all the traffic in downtown SF it didnt work. So we started to go
up the top level and got in line, i cant remember which booth but the
players kept coming and leaving, the people moved at a 1/2 hour pace so
i dont think i would have made it cuz i had this twitter tour at 1 and
plus i wanted to see the stadium and get on the field since im always
in that promenade area. The field was just filled with dirt and rain
puddles but still there were thousands of people running around etc, i
wish i went down there first to listen to the broadcasts, i did get to
hear Cain talk at the end there, it was hard to hear tho. So anyway
when the tour was over i was followed by Jonathan Sanchez, i was
thinking it was a fan and i was asking him where everyone else went and
he looked at me funny then i saw #57 and was like “OMG was that
Sanchez!?” Its weird how they ignore the fans, i was like oh hi and he
like talked on his phone. I guess it was like ‘ok weirdo i dont know
you” I think i got disconnected from the tour from taking too many
press box pics. But anyway i made it down to the clubhouse and two of
the players went to use the restroom, one was a rookie and couldnt
recognize him and the other guy was Aaron Rowand i think. They were
funny tho, they were like ‘oh were just using the restroom”
Then, we
sat in the dugout and took pics then went on the field and the mound,
like the closest i’ll probably ever get to Timmy lol Saddenly, i didnt
see him at all, just heard him from the knbr booth. I am so excited for
the season to start. I want to go to Scottsdale for spring training,
im sure im not doing anything productive here, i need my first
vacation. lol 12 days till pitchers & catchers report! sorry if
this didnt make sense, im really tired but if i wrote later i probably
would’ve forgotten stuff. ;p I can’t add photos because they’re too big to fit on here but you can look here on my new picasa album. Let me know if this doesn’t work. thanks !
