Giants ..Buster Posey’s promotion.. another perfect game.

Hey its been a couple of weeks since my last entry, the Giants have been up and down this month but so far have a 3 game winning streak & 1/2 game behind the Dodgers for 2nd.  I was real happy hearing yesterday that the Giants were bringing up Buster Posey, one of the top minor league prospects of ’09.  His season debut was outstanding, he went 3 for 4 with 3 rbi’s. Hopefully they’ll keep him for a while, and he continues to score runs, so our good pitchers have run support.  I have been impressed by the last two game, Matt Cain dominated on Friday throwing a CG shutout, 9 k’s and allowing 1 hit. Wearing the orange jerseys gives them good luck, they’re 4-0 so far on ‘orange friday’
Memorial day is gonna be epic, Tim Lincecum faces Ubaldo Jimenez, who has a 0.88 era.  Hopefully Tim had been struggling in his last two starts, Timmy’s blister problems will have disappeared.  Speaking of  no-no’s.. Roy Halladay from the Phillies, threw a perfect game on saturday, which was the 2nd one in a month.  The last time that happened was two centuries ago, no wonder i didn’t know who Lee Richmond was haha.  Anyway its kind of disappointing now they’re going to be more focused on Halladay because espn has always been liking the east coast.    Tim had been struggling in his last two starts,

Perfect game in bay area

Hello i know i haven’t been writing a lot like i said i was but anyway i was happy for Oakland A’s pitcher Dallas Braden throwing the 19th perfect game in baseball history against Tampa Bay on Mom’s day.  Honestly before the season started i never even heard of Braden. I am not a big A’s & prefer the Giants. He became noticeable for yelling at A-Rod a month ago for walking on his mound.  Really it isn’t HIS mound but A-Rod was purposely being a jerk, i wish they showed him on the camera so i could see what he really did, but Braden sure was angry.
My dad, Grandpa & brother have been to a perfect game, it was at Dodger stadium on July 28, 1991, I didn’t go because I was 6 at the time and they thought i was too young and didnt realize i was gonna become a huge baseball fanatic. Anyway my dad still has the ticket stubs from that game.  I know my brother & grandpa were bitter about the Dodgers losing like that.  I grew up in southern California but i wasn’t that interested in the Dodgers, but i watched more of the Angels games. , my dad also went to Nolan Ryan’s 20 strikeout game sometime in the 1970′s.
I dont think i mentioned photo day at At&t Park! I got to the stadium at 9 am and the line was already ridiculously long.  But i got a good spot on the field anyway, sadly Tim Lincecum didn’t come my way but i managed to shake his hand at the last minute. I did get photos with Torres, Affeldt, & Zito.  :) some of the photos weren’t very good cuz i had to hold the camera myself. I was so happy the Giants won that day, i’ve had bad luck lately where i’ve gone to the games & they lost.  Matt Cain pitched a terrific game & allowed only 2 hits.
Speaking of Giants pitching Barry Zito and Tim Lincecum have had a great season so far, sadly Zito lost his first game last night but didn’t allow too many runs so his era is still under 2.  As for Lincecum he should be 7-0 by now if it wasn’t for the failed bullpen outings.  I was so upset at Brian Wilson on that day against Philly, or i should say Bochy.  Timmy had 106 pitches & had 1 guy on & 1 out in the 9th, i am sure he would have gotten the next two batters out. Anyway the last two games were also good but again the bullpen keeps spoiling his win.   But a ND is better than an L, so im happy about that part. He struck out 13 last tuesday and 7 last sunday. He’s had rough starts in the past two seasons, he’s been really solid, hopefully he’s gonna get a third Cy Young award, its honestly too hard to tell at this point & so many other pitchers are having a great year too.
